How do reminders work?
Add an item with a due date and LapseGuard schedules local notifications ahead of it: 30, 7 and 1 day before by default. You can change the lead times and the daily hour in Settings.
How do I renew an item?
Tap the item, then Renew. The next due date rolls forward by the item's interval and the reminders re-arm automatically.
Do I need an account?
No. The app works entirely on your device. There is nothing to sign up for.
Where is my data? Is it backed up?
Everything lives in a local database on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded. That also means deleting the app deletes your data, so keep the app installed if the dates matter to you. Your device's own iOS backup (iCloud or computer) includes the app's data like any other app.
What is LapseGuard Pro? What does it cost?
LapseGuard Pro unlocks unlimited items, multiple owners, and document photos. It costs €14.99 per year (with a 7-day free trial the first time) or €0.99 per week with no trial. Prices are shown in your local currency in the app. The free tier keeps up to 10 dated items, forever.
How does the free trial work?
Starting the trial subscribes you to the yearly plan with the first 7 days free. On day 5 the app reminds you the trial is ending, and on day 7 the €14.99 yearly price is charged automatically unless you cancelled. If you cancel during the week you keep Pro until day 7, pay nothing, and the app gracefully returns to the free tier.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then LapseGuard, and choose Cancel. You can also reach the same screen from the Manage subscription button in the app. Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
Refunds and restoring purchases
Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com. If you reinstalled the app or got a new iPhone, tap Restore purchases on the upgrade screen to bring your subscription back.
Notifications are not showing up
Check iOS Settings, then Notifications, then LapseGuard, and make sure Allow Notifications is on. Inside the app, Settings lets you adjust the lead times and the daily reminder hour.
