Your Netflix does not expire, it auto-renews. Netflix charges you once a month on the date you first signed up, and it keeps renewing until you cancel. To see your exact renewal date, sign in on a browser, open your Account page, and open Payment History, which lists your past charges and the date of the next one.
Check your exact renewal date
Sign in to Netflix in a web browser and go to your Account page, then open Payment History. It shows your billing history and when your next charge lands. Your billing date is the day of the month you signed up, so a signup on the 12th renews around the 12th every month.
Two quirks are worth knowing. The date can show a day earlier because of time zone differences. And if you signed up on the 31st, months without a 31st bill you on their last day instead. The top of the account page also shows a Member Since date, which reflects the most recent time the account was started or reactivated.
Renew vs expire
While your membership is active, it never lapses on its own, it renews. The date only matters in two cases: a failed payment or a cancellation.
If a payment fails, Netflix puts the account on hold and automatically retries the charge periodically over the course of your billing cycle. Access comes back as soon as you update the payment method.
If you cancel, nothing switches off right away. You keep watching until the end of the period you already paid for, and the account closes automatically on that day. That closing day is the real expiry date, and Payment History shows exactly when it is. If you are ready to cancel instead, do it any time before your next billing date and you keep access until the period ends.
When the charge actually hits
You are charged monthly on your signup date, and that date is fixed by Netflix. There is no setting to pick a custom billing day. The only lever is a cancellation followed by a later restart: if Netflix greets you with a welcome-back message, your billing date may shift to the day you restarted, but if you can watch again straight away it stays the same. Netflix decides based on your account status, so treat a restart as the only option, not a date picker.
If your Netflix is bundled through a TV, internet, or mobile provider, the charge sits on their bill, not Netflix’s, and the two dates can differ. Same for an account set up long ago through an app store: the renewal date lives in that store’s subscription settings, so check your App Store or Google Play purchase history for the date.
